Finishing equipment distributor Raster Printers UK has unveiled a new range of digital cutting tables.
The company has launched the XP range, the latest of its I-Cut products, which are aimed primarily at short- to medium-run work.According to the distributor, the machines, which come in three sizes (1680x3200mm, 2210x3200mm and 2210x4800mm), are the first series to be specifically designed to operate continuously in a 24/7 production environment. All of the sizes feature full load and unload automation available as an option. They are being targeted at corrugated packaging companies, folded carton producers, screen printers, digital printers and, in particular, companies producing point-of-purchase.Sales director Mark Dempsey said: "At up to 100 linear metres, cutting and creasing speed pulling 1.5G of force, it really is a hungry beast."And while speed is not everything, the acceleration of 15 metres per second means that cutting even the most intricate of designs can prove cost effective over traditional die-cutting methods."
